AKG C1414

This microphone is a condenser meaning it picks up a lot of low end and high end mainly used for vocals however we had this as back up in case we needed a roomy effect from the drums set back.

The studio session.

During this recording session my role was to engineer for Joshua booth and myself. We needed complete a drum recording for our FMP session, we also had some assistance from our friend and class mate Joseph Fowler who helped us to set up the music studio and live room for our recording session, as a team we connected the studio to the live room through the wall box. .

Once our setup was complete we got down to work so Josh decided that he wanted to be the drummer for both our sessions witch made sense due to him being more experienced Drummer than my self.

Whilst josh was getting set up in the live room I set up the mixing desk , Patch bay monitors  and our DAW of choice was logic. The drum session consisted of two performances one was joshes death metal drums for his track and my simple drum loop for my house track.

In addition we also hired a studio assistant to help us to record this session, the role of the assistant was to help us set up the microphones in the correct alignment and to also plug in the XLR cable into the wall box.

For this session I recorded vocals with Joshua Booth, josh decided that he wanted to recording growling for his track so he decided to ask me to be his recording engineer help him which would also helped me out

For the first hour and a half my role was the studio engineer and then I switched with bailey and became the assistant. This allowed me to get some time in the live room to record some vocals.

Potentially I want to release the final track on a stream or downloading platform such as band amp spotify or sound cloud to create an revenue / earn money, another way which I have earned money from this is by helping other student to record their work from roles such as Performer, assistant, and studio manager.

However, over ways of promoting the music is by free downloads social media pages and other sources.
